OpenBlog is an open source weblog application. On top of providing the assumed basic functionality of a blogging application: authoring, publishing, commenting, syndicating and archiving, it will support the latest and unified content syndication format and publishing/commenting API, tentatively named Atom.
OpenBlog is implemented primarily using Perl and run on Apache web server.
Designed to be simple, extensible and easily deployed, OpenBlog let users easily setup a personal weblog, or a group weblog, or even a weblog commnuity. Support for internationalization (I18N) is also one of the primary target from the begining.
The OpenBlog project started in the first half of 2003, initiated by Zhang Yining and Zhang Erning. OpenBlog is currently licensed under GPL.
We encourage and thank you for using OpenBlog as your weblogging application and do our best to make it work best for you and enhance your blogging experience better. Of course, if you are willing to contribute to the project, we are more than happy to welcome you to participate in the development of OpenBlog.
